This was a route of World Cup stability in 1997. It was a historic match which resulted in a tie between India and New Zealand. This is the first time for MPCA that we will host women’s game. ,

Rich heritageThe Holkar Stadium, originally founded by Maharaja Tukojiro Rao Holkar III as part of the Yashwant Club in Indore in 1926, was established in 1926. Nominated as a home ground for Holkar cricket team, it was given special status in the 1970s during the club’s property rehabilitation.The MPCA developed it at a stadium in 1998-99, depicting the rich cricket heritage of Indore from the era of the Holkar dynasty, hosting its first international match in 2006. Since then, it has staged 14 men’s international games, including three tests.This outlines the city’s long -term relationship for cricket for the past, now ready to embrace a new chapter with women’s cricket.While the State Association has not earlier hosted international women’s matches, the MP has produced quality players like Sandhya Aggarwal and Pooja Vastekar who has excelled on the national stage.Pandit said, “The state players have represented India in most of the World Cup since 1978. This time, we are thrilled to the young pacer Kranti Gaud from our kingdom.”He said, “This is a world -class opportunity for fans in Indore, watching and witnesses to be played by all the top five ranked teams. For the Australian side, it will almost be like their home site because they will play four matches here. We are hoping for a good tournament here,” he said.Waiting for guidelinesPreparations are going on, although detailed instructions are awaited from MPCA Control board for cricket in India (BCCI) and International Cricket Council (ICC).“We plan to do some novels, but we are waiting for guidelines from BCCI and ICC. Because until we get clarity on some points, we will not be able to offer new concepts. Hopefully in the first week of the sept we have clarity. We have a proper period in the first week of the sept.This cautious approach aligns the event with international standards by incorporating innovations to enhance fan experience.Ticketing and logistics also remain major focus areas. Pandit said, “Based on the guidelines and advisors we receive, we need to check what kind of freedom we have in terms of tickets or ticket pricing or when and how it is to be offered. Guidelines will flow for us from ICC to BCCI,” said Pandit.The purpose of philosophy of cheap pricing of MPCA is to ensure a pack stadium. “There is a huge increase in women’s cricket standards. Now there is a lot of attraction and affection for them. And, although we are a Tier -2 cities, cricket culture in Indore is very good. Our stadiums are in the heart of the city. Even for a Test match, our average leg is about 22,000 daily. MPCA does not have very high tickets for men. Our philosophy is a complete house, ”he said.With its central location and enthusiastic fanbase, the Holkar Stadium is ready to create a vibrant atmosphere.
