Left parties hit RSS for calls to review ‘socialist’, ‘secular’

Left parties on Friday asked RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale’s call to review the words ‘socialist’ and ‘secular’ in the preface of the Constitution of India, saying that these “basic principles” of the Constitution reflect the values for which freedom fighters sacrificed their lives.

‘Congress submitted 89 lakh complaints to ECI during his head, all dismissed’

Senior Congress leader Pawan Khera said on Sunday that 89 lakh complaints were tampered with by the party’s booth level agents (BLAS) during the special intensive amendment (SIR) of irregularities irregularities, but all were rejected by the Election Commission.
