Bengaluru: Mohammed Shami It is barely a week away from its 35th birthday and is much slower than once, but does not fire within the fire. There is neither austerity to fight. Call it one day in recent times with many of his magnificent colleagues, Shami There have been not many sub-signs to walk in sunset. But the premiere fast bowler is not yet throwing in the towel, and as he repeated a few days ago, “I will leave the day I get bored. You don’t pick me up, don’t pick me up, don’t play me, I don’t care. But I will keep working hard.” Possibly one of India’s finest pace-bouncing exporters, Shami focused on the 2027 50 over World Cup. Mentally, he is there. The question is, will his body be caught? His final presence in the ODI format was, finally, earlier this year was in the final of the Champions Trophy in Dubai in March. Playing in its first competitive red-ball game since November 2024, Bengal Pesar was slow, but there was no rust in the Duleep Trophy tie between the east and the north region. BCCI The center of excellence here on Thursday. He bowled 17 overs spread over four mantras, focusing more on accuracy rather than speed, on a surface that offered considerable bounce but slightly seam movement.

Voting

Is it more important for a fast bowler to focus on speed or accuracy?

He was effective, but was not severe, watching mainly to test his horrified body. In his first magic of five overs, his INSWINES harassed with a good length-Solemy batsmen Shubam Khajuria and Ankit Kumar, especially when the next magic of their three overs was rather uneven, took some edges to the right foot. After lunch, shami switched ends and gears. He assessed the conditions for his satisfaction, and his third mantra of 4–2–9–0 was the best of the day. Shami was investigating more, as he excluded Ayush Badoni and Yash Dhul in the corridor. He finally hit a late delivery in the day that sent Sahil Lotra back. Shami continued the investigation line and in the 70th over, Lotra offered a thick edge to wicketkeeper Kumar Kushagra. For Kushagra, this catch was redemption, which had earlier dropped Kanhaiya Wadhawan from Shami. To ensure an early end with rain, it will be interesting to see how Shami and his new ball companion Mukesh KumarWhich went out for nine overs due to a moist, renting on a moist surface.

National Sports Day Report Card for Federation: F for F, A for NRAI A

Published

on

On National Sports Day, we take a break, a breath, and do so that any self -respecting Indian has grown in such a big days: see the report card. Here, we choose some major associations and grade them (from A+ to F, but you already knew that) on four major criteria. It is mentioned here how the big unions of India are killed:

All India Football Federation (AIFF)

Administrator and Governance: F

Nign the basic duties such as running first division, listening to the technical committee (in national coach selection), cannot decide who has won the second division.

Results in competition: d

Despite the official apathy, the women’s team was successful. Men’s team flounding. There is a need to pay attention in both cases.

Litigation: F

It occurs in many cases. Either loses all of them or does not constantly represent. In the last few months, cases have been lost in the mediation court of sports, delay in representation in the Supreme Court while ISL is suspended.

Public assumption: F

No belief, no faith. Probably could not deteriorate. Another people who do not know what/if the first division (ISL) will be, then there will be a reaction?

Overall: F

If this school was, the parents kept sitting with the principal to stop the war. Especially considering FIFA is being threatened with a ban if their house is not brought to destroy.

With hold on ISL, AFF enters a new depth of disability

All India Chess Federation (AICF)

Administrator and Governance: B

It is easy to rule, the system produces the needs of players. Perhaps it is best not to keep everyone in the dark about the World Cup site for two months from the beginning.

Results: A+

The most successful Indian game in the last year. Men’s words champion, Women’s World Cup winner, Olympiad Golds (both teams) … pure dominance.

Litigation: A

At this time, no scribbles of the note are not included in the courts.

Public perception: A+

The audience for the game is growing on the day, and more big programs in India will only help further.

Overall: A

It is running smoothly. Some administrators change to create, but surely the most problem-free sports federation in India.

Global chess is now in the era of Visi’s children

Badminton Association of India (BAI)

ADMN and Governance: B

Most of the basic tasks meet, are strong ambitions, work towards better becoming better and the creation of more infrastructure for the future … although there are some gaps that need to be covered: A second line deficiency for years, all players are not being centralized, coaching carcassels across the board, complaints of foreign players about the tournament organization.

Results in competition: B

If you only see 2025, this grade should be low. But the store has credit for previous demonstrations.

Litigation: A

Recently not found in any big case, which is good.

Public perception: A

Very good. One of the most popular sports in the country. Add the success of the player, and we have a winner.

Overall: A

There is a very solid system in place, but space for improvement (central coaching system, bench strength issues). The good thing is that they know about the issues addressed. In previous results ‘A’ factor, those standards should now be fulfilled continuously.

Stopping the slide: Indian badminton is at an intersection, what is the future looking?

Athletics federation of Indian (AFI)

Administrator and Governance: D

National competitions are not box-ticking exercises: Sample Kochi Fed Cup and ancient selection policy for Asian athletics. Especially Neeraj Chopra Stark compared to classic’s organization.

Result: C

Neeraj is not counted here. Asian C’Ships should be better, and may be less Indians in the world than last time.

Litigation: A

He was taken to court in 2017 after Pu Chitra became legal.

Public assumption: d

Then, this is a D when we place Neeraj aside. When their major event – in a state that loves her athletics as much as Kerala does – is in front of a crowd, which can count with both hands, then the alarm bells should ring. AFI should do more to reach the Indian public and reach the field.

Overall: C

The capacity is – Mid distance running and ESP in Jewelin – but India is far from the world standard. There is a need to look beyond red tape and box-ticking. Piggibacking on Neeraj can only go so far.

Fed Cup Persia: Kochi heat, humidity barely hit athletes but the authorities precious

National Rifle Association of India (NRAI)

Administrator and Governance: A+

Complete all the basic functions required, with compulsory and documented processes and (appropriate) transparent action. There have been issues in the past with coaching clashes in national camps and Olympic debacals, but there are signs of improvement.

Results in competition: A-

Excellent in some regions (ISSF and Asian level events), but does not always match the expectations during pressure (Olympic and World Championships). Of course, expectations are also very highly given track records of success.

Litigation: A

Some cases get involved – mainly strict selection policies and purely numerical qualification systems on top players. But there are well -defined rules, so there is not much amount in cases.

Public perception: A

Very good, because results keep coming in levels and age groups.

Overall: A

Have we just described a direct description as a federation in Indian sports? Now, this is an achievement. NRAI has some issues (coach roles, etc.), but it is mostly a well -groomed and no nonsense organization.

Wrestling Federation India (WFI)

Administrator and Governance: F

The suspension was canceled in March 2025, just because he finally understood the simple matter of not working with former chief head Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh’s house (!). Even after making the final -mining decisions – they are purchasing selection tests or visas.

Results in competition: d

In 2025, the Indian wrestler missed the two ranking series due to the suspension of WFI. The rigorous treatment of future stars (Neha Sangwan, U20 Worlds Medalist reduced the promising results in junior categories by 2 years (!) Sangawan, once in international competition).

Litigation: F

Some state bodies still combat legitimacy; The case of sexual harassment of Bridge Bhushan Singh continues.

Public assumption: F

Current President Sanjay Singh’s close relationship with Brij Bhushan will also disturb the positive measures of WFI.

Overall: F

The shooting of Asha like Kajal Docch and Tapasya Gehlawat is becoming U20 World Champion despite the disqualification of the Federation, but overall Outlook smokes.

India’s Paralympic Committee (PCI)

Administrator and Governance: B-

Improvement has been improved since the new President (and Para-Athletics Great) returned from suspension. The top-down approach means that there is still conflict at the grassroots level, but the Federation has already achieved sponsorship and facilities to support top athletes and already host several international programs.

Results in competition: A+

An incredible 29 in Paris from the then record 19 medals at the Tokyo Games. One of India’s best performing associations (result-wise), although most credits still go to athletes.

29 to 29 to 12 medals in 48 years in Paris: How India scales record heights in paralympics 2024

Litigation: A

Union is working with unity, not too much naysayers.

Public assumption: d

Paralympics remain only one time when para-athletes enter national consciousness, so if any is there is very little public perception. The PCI has made very little in publicity outside it – hosting the world can change things but there is a lot of space for improvement.

Overall: C

In addition to catering for its top athletes, he has greatly reduced the ground level in terms of coaching, infrastructure and competitions. Khelo India Para Games is one step ahead, although currently it seems more to fulfill a liability.

Hockey India (HI)

Administrator and Governance: B

Important improvement in the last decade – remember the Indian Hockey Federation and their disturbances? But while a proper structure is in place and Hockey India League is back … uncomfortable questions were raised by Shopman and Elena Norman on the work environment and remain unanswered.

Hockey CEO Elena Norman’s resignation is a big thing for women and women in sports

Results in competition: B+

The senior male team has won the back-to-back Olympic medal. The results need to be improved, however, for the women’s team, however.

Litigation: A

The board is not involved in dirty legal matters, so it is positive.

Public perception: A

The Olympic medal and the restart of Hockey India League have helped the Federation.

Overall: B+

Corrections are clearly visible, but there is a need to address questions raised by their former CEO and former female coach.

Boxing Federation of India (BFI)

Administrator and Governance: D

The federation has been suspended. Ajay Singh, Ajay Singh, won the third term as President in the recent elections … while he was also the head of the Interim Committee, who was in power for about a year after suspension.

Results in competition: B-

Nikhat Zarein and Lollaina Borghehen have won medals on the big stage. Medals have been won in competitions like new mint World Cup … but is there a danger of stabilizing Indian boxing? Are there any Olympic-padk-level athletes coming? The empty performance of Paris was a sign of a threat: you need a large medal in the greatest events.

Litigation: D

Appropriate amount of legal trouble. There is currently a case where state units are opposing the changes made by the pre -interim committee before the election.

Public perception: C

In the last few months, many issues have come under public notice. This is not a smooth ride, accusing an official of an offensing behavior on issues ranging from clear power struggle to the President’s chair to the Olympic medalist Lovalina.

Overall: C

BFI has work to work to resolve various issues – clean governance after results in big events. To identify talent and bring them into a system, there is a need to focus on a long -term plan that can take care of them.

Indian Olympic Association (IOA)

Administrator and Governance: E

A civil war between President PT Usha’s group and Vice President Kalyan Choubey, which was causing havoc, was solved. However, there is a need to be more official and active in other NSF management and ensure the welfare of athletes.

Results in competition: e

It would be ideal to focus on obtaining results in the Olympics-a double-digit medal, perhaps before bidding to host.

Litigation: C

NSFs under them are not as bad as, but it is quite bad that they are in court on various administrator issues.

Public assumption: d

No one is completely sure what IOA does, and which needs to be addressed – instead of PR, instead of PR.

Overall: D-

To quote the subject matter expert Edwin Musa: “Is it just an event in India, or is it really to develop games? It’s going to be a big question.” The best to focus on homework before going to extra curricular.

Edwin Musa on Olympics, CWG Boli: Is it for sports or statement?
