“I started playing rugby at the age of 19, in Calcutta Cricket and Football Club, which is one of India’s oldest rugby and football clubs. They started a women’s team and someone asked me to join. I really wanted to go there because the club did not give a huge game. I did not even give a big game.

She also thinks that things are gradually changing for better because rugby India becomes a completely professional structure, in which players are given remuneration to participate in camps. A big thing he has seen is social acceptance of women in sports.

“Not only sports associations, but also a lot of acceptance, but in the context how people see women in the game in general. I think family and parents support their children more to join the game, even though their gender.
