The ODI format is now the only focus of Rohit. After playing 273 matches so far, he has scored 11,168 runs at an impressive average of 48.76, with 32 centuries in his name. His quiet appearance on top and ability to grow on the biggest occasions has made him one of India’s largest white ball batsmen. Away from numbers, Ganesh Chaturthi offers Rohit a chance to re -connect with his family and faith. The fans caught a glimpse of him quietly at home, which was surrounded by his parents and brothers, who were away from the headlines of the packed stadiums. This is the balance between their professional achievements and their simple family traditions that create a figure of praise to Rohit.

Sri Lanka announced a 17-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe in Harare, with the lead all-rounder Vanindu Hasranga Absent due to hamstring injury during a T20I series against Bangladesh in July. The team led by Cherith Asanka will play two Odis and three T20Is in Zimbabwe, which will begin with the first ODI on Friday.Hasranga’s absence also questions his participation in the upcoming Asia Cup, as he has not played at any level since the beginning of July.In the spin department, Sri Lanka turned to Mahesh Thekshana and Dunith Vellege to fill the differences left from the absence of Hasranga.Fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana has earned a place in the T20I squad after being out of ODI selection.The squad consists of experienced players Pitham NisankaKusal Mendis, Kusal Perera, Kamindu Mendis and Dasun Shanaka.

Sri Lanka entered the series after a 2–1 ODI series victory against Bangladesh last month.
