The match ended over the day with more than the day as England won a comfortable win, according to ESPNcricinfo, excluding Zimbabwe twice. Offpinner Shoaib Bashir was a star in the last day, taking his fourth Test Five-Vick Hall, who was the most by any England player before he was 22, and for his second five in Nottingham. He ended with 9/143 match figures.

Despite heavy losses, Zimbabwe player and his supporters remained in high spirits. This was Zimbabwe’s first test in England in 22 years, and his enthusiastic fans filled the stadium with noise and color, even returned to appreciate the team during their praise after the match.

Zimbabwe showed some fights with the bat, especially through Sean Williams, Ben Curan, Alexander Raza and Vesley Madhabar. Williams was the top artist, scoring 88 runs and shared a 122 -run partnership with Curan for the second wicket. Raza was also standing outside, hitting a half -century and a solid 65 run stand with Madhavre.

Although Zimbabwe did not manage to force England to bat again, 45 runs decreased, his flexibility and quality batting moments gave fans because of hope. The team will now prepare for the upcoming home Test matches against South Africa, New Zealand and Afghanistan.

For England, the game served as a warm-up before a busy testing program, including a five-match domestic chain against India and Ashes in Australia. There were some concerns about his main fast bowlers, which looked lacking, but Ben Stokes, returning from Hamstring Surgery, looked sharp and threatened the most with balls in small mantras.

Zimbabwe started the day on 30/2, yet he was scoring 270 runs. Williams led the fightback with an aggressive innings filled with borders, while Ben Curan supported him with a slow and stable 37 off 104 balls. Williams brought his fifty with a stylish straight drive, but was later hit down from the tongue, which was pulling blood. He batted bravely, but finally LBW fell for 88, less than a century.

Karran also showed determination but was eventually caught by Stokes. After their dismissal, Raza and Madhawar worked hard, took spin attack and short delivery. There were some nervous moments including a lucky deflection from Harry Brook’s cap, which saved Raza from a catch, and a close LBW call against Madhbar that went on his way.

Eventually, a brilliant catch by Brooke ended Madhavre’s innings. Stokes bowled a bouncer, with an edge, and Brook made a high jump on the second slip to hold a stunning one hand.

After that, England quickly wrapped the innings. Bashir dismissed Tafadzwa Tsiga with a ball that rapidly changed through the bat-pad gap. Raza soon brought his fifty, but was caught trying to attack Bashir. The young spinner ended with another five wickets, which ended Zimbabwe’s resistance by implicating Tanaka Chivanga LBW. Richard Narav, the last man of Zimbabwe, did not bat in any innings due to a back injury.

England will take confidence with this win, especially Bashir’s performance and return of Stokes as a bowler. Despite the loss, Zimbabwe showed moments of promises and emotion, earning respect and praise for the crowd of Trent Bridge.
