WBC Junior Middleweight Champion Sebstian Fundora will defend his title against former integrated champion Keith Thurman on 25 October. The premiere boxing champion announced boxing on Friday afternoon.
Fundora is coming out of the best win of his career, A Tim Tsuyu’s vigorous drubing in JulyThe fight with TSZYU was a rematch of his bloody March 2024 war, which Fundora won to capture WBC and WBO title. Many people felt that in the first meeting a cut had greatly affected, which was quickly suffering from Fundora due to an accidental elbow.
Any doubt was quickly wiped out on the result of that first battle when Fundoa dropped Tsuu in the early stages and dominated the fight until Tsuu retired in his corner after the seventh round.
In 6 -Foot -5, Fundora presents important problems for opponents in 154 pounds. At the beginning of his career, Fundora did not use his access well, the option to fight in close quarters. In recent quarrels, he has begun to use his jab more, forcing opponents to work in his own way.
Thurman will be tasked to solve the puzzle, and he will have to do so while working with the ring war.
Thurman became an integrated champion at Welterweight in 2017, when he defeated Danny Garcia, adding Garcia’s WBC title to his WBA belt. Two quarrels later, in July 2019, Thurman left a divided decision for Manny Pacquoos.
Thurman fought only twice since the loss of Paquiao, defeating Mario Barios in February 2022, and stopping Brock Jarvis in the last March.
