Ferrari Head: Front Wing Test for F1 teams may be ‘game Changeser’

Ferrari team principal Fred Vasasur believes that the change in the front wing flexibility in the upcoming Spanish Grand Prix can be a “game Changer” for all 10 Formula 1 teams.
Flexing bodywork became a point of controversy within the game last year, the FIA confirmed in January that it would offer more stringent load tests on the front wings from the ninth round of the season in Spain.
A degree of flexibility in engineering wings when they are under aerodynamic load, the performance has the ability to offer benefits, either by reducing the drag at high speed or by changing the aerodynamic balance of the car between low speed and high -speed corners.
Strict static tests conducted by the FIA in Spain this week are expected to require all teams to modify their front wings, and Vasasur believes that there may be a change in the performance of the cars.
“I think Barcelona is on everyone’s calendar in Padock with new regulation for the front wing,” Wasasura said in Monaco in the last weekend.
“At least we are now working on it for age and it can be a game Changer for everyone, because we do not know the impact on every team of new regulation.
“We will stick to this (in Barcelona), it will be focused on, for better exploitation of the new front wing.”
Boss Toto Wolf, the boss of the Mercedes team, suggested that Ferrari was exploiting at least flexible front wings this year, but said it was still not clear that any team would stand strict with strict trials to achieve relative to their rivals.
“I think what we have seen is that Ferrari was probably the most conservative on flexi-winges,” Volf said. “What is this going to do on the Peking order, something that we need to see.
“I am not sure it (order will change), but another angle of curiosity and I don’t know how it is going to go.”
The Principal of the Red Bull Team Christian Horner believes that the new tests will influence all the teams, but said it was difficult to estimate whether it would change the competitive order.
“Now we go back to some high -speed circuits, and of course the front wing is essentially subject to a regulation change, and may have a zero effect on the running order, but it is a change and it will affect all the teams,” Horner said.
“Probably neutrally, but it will have an effect. What we don’t know will affect how it will affect (each team). It is a significant change, and therefore will definitely have some effect.”
