Rohit said in a recent event, “Honestly, everyone! I would like to hit them all. There is no special. My mindset is always the same – I just want to hit, I want to hit, who is in front of me, no matter.” However, his remarks received an unexpected response from the crowd as they burst laughing. However, with an unconscious smile, Rohit clarified that he did not believe in being a special bowler, but, wanted to score runs and work hard against each of his opponents – a clear explanation for his fearless hitting over the years. This statement captured the attacker’s intentions and confidence, which has defined his batting in forms. Neeraj Chopra Final Live in Diamond League: Can Neeraj Chopra again break the 90 meter barrier?

Published

Neeraj Chopra in the last live update of Diamond League: Indian Jewelin star Neeraj Chopra, talking to the media ahead of the Diamond League final in Zurich on Thursday, admitted that he was not satisfied with his technology despite receiving a 90m-plus throw in the Doha Diamond League in May. The two -time Olympic medalist is aiming to recover the Diamond League Trophy, working on improving his technology under veteran coach Jan Zelezney.

Chopra threw 90.23 meters while finishing second in his season-opening Diamond League meeting for Javelin on 16 May, finally he was violating the iconic 90 meter mark for more than five years.

The 27-year-old athlete expressed his ongoing journey to correct his technology, especially focusing on using his run-up speed more effectively.

“I think I am really fast in the run-up, but I don’t think I am using the speed right now, 90 meters throw was really good, but technically I don’t want to say that it was right. If my left leg is straight and if I use the right block, it will really throw it well and then I will be satisfied with my speed,” said Chopra said.

On Thursday, when asked about potentially throwing 92 meters with better technology, Chopra replied, “You don’t know in the spear, you probably also go to four or five meters.”

A competitive competition is awaited as Chopra has defended Anderson Peters, the champion of Granada and Germany Vabber in the seven-man finals. The region includes Kenya’s 2015 world champion Julius Yigo, Trinidad and Keshorn Walcott in Tobago, Andrean Mardare of Moldova and Simon Welland of Switzerland.
