India cannot remain ‘muted spectator’ because Trump WTO: destroys institutions like Congress

Following his comment, President Trump issued an executive order listing various duties, which will apply to exports from countries around the world.

India will face 25 percent tariff on its exports to the US.

Executive order, however, Trump stated that India had not referred to the penalty to pay to India due to the purchase of Russian military equipment and energy.

On Wednesday, Trump announced an additional penalty for the purchase of 25 percent tariff on India and the purchase of New Delhi from Russia through a post on his social media website Truth Social.

While 1 August tariff was the deadline, the new Levi will be applicable from August 7.

In April, Trump announced that India would face 26 percent of concessional mutual tariffs, which is now higher than the declared rate.

In its response to the US tariff declaration, India has said that it will take all necessary steps to protect and promote national interest and the implications of tariffs are being investigated.

Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal’s remarks in Parliament on the US tariff declaration as “non-places”, on Thursday, the Congress said that it was stated in everyone that it was all “completely wrongly self-stunned” and claimed that the concerns and feelings of Indian businesses were not addressed.

Goyal said on Thursday that India will take all necessary steps to protect and promote national interest. His comment came a day after Trump announced 25 percent tariffs and fine on domestic exports to the US from 1 August.

“But we have made it clear that the voice of poor youth will resonate across the country, and in Bihar, we will not allow one vote to be stolen,” Gandhi said, which Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav joined the stage, in addition to Bihar colleagues Tejashvi Yadav (RJD) (Sajjad) (soldier).

“Remember, if your vote is stolen, you will be robbed of your future. The right to vote is given to you by the Constitution, which is an incarnation of Mahatma Gandhi and Babasaheb Ambedkar’s ideals. We should protect it,” he said.
